Position Responsibilities
- Plan, estimate, sequence, and perform tasks related to weld shop, fabricate, weld, assemble, maintain, inspect, and repair tools.
- Use processes like cutting, grinding, spotting, painting, abrasive blasting, hand finish, shaping, bending, drilling, reaming, tapping, lay-out, welding, stress relief ovens, inspection, set-up, operate various fabrication and measurement equipment and machine tools.
- Coordinate, plan, estimate, and sequence work with other employees.
- Interpret tool and engineering drawings, computer aided design models, sketches, templates, tool design manuals, verbal information, master tools, production parts, digital data, and various handbooks.
- Perform various welding processes to fabricate tools including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, TIP TIG, plasma arc cutting, weld conditioning, and vacuum tight welding of face-sheet seams on tools of various alloys and metals.
- Pass and maintain weld certifications.
- Perform basic shop math and pass yearly eye exam.
- Perform routine minor machine maintenance daily on assigned machine.
Required Qualifications
- Willing and able to work any shift.
- Must be able to perform all functions of the welder function, along with performing Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding of various metals and metal alloys to fabricate experimental and production parts and assemblies.
- Maintain required AWS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- TIG welding experience with Aluminum, Stainless/stainless alloys, titanium, and Inconel.
- Production aircraft welding experience preferred.
- Precision fabrication with metals.
- Familiar with AWS D17.1.
- Can follow engineering drawing and weld symbols.

Pay & Benefits
$27.31/hour, with potential to earn up to $41.13/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
