Welder/ Pre Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Welding Sheet Metal MIG and STICK and Possible TIG.
• Perform incoming inspection of Transformer.
• Perform teardown and inspection of core and coil assembly.
• Load coils onto core and yoke core form or stack shell form.
• Repair, stack, and re-insulate cores as required.
• Conduct phase assembly of shell form packages.
• Perform jacking of core blocking and insulation.
• Install units in oven or vacuum tank for processing.
• Clean and install or fabricate new structure.
• Clean and install de-energized tap changers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• 2‑years manufacturing experience.
• Welding Certificate.
• Ability to Pass Weld TEST (MIG and STICK TIG preferred).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen, and physical.
• Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
