Welder/Pipefitter Journeyman
About the role
The Welder/Pipefitter Journeyman will be responsible for industrial-field pipe welding/pipefitting tasks. They must have at least 5 years' experience and pass specific tests.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in reading and understanding P&ID’s, ISO drawings
- Take such drawings to fabricate and assemble to the highest quality
- Use all power tools used in the fabrication of piping systems such as grinders, port-a-bands, saw zaws, and threading machines
- Rigging pipe in the air
- Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel pipe
- Work with advanced knowledge in areas such as metallurgy, welding safety, and quality control
- Support troubleshooting and repair of tools and equipment used in the fabrication of piping systems
- Train and mentor employees with less experience
Requirements
- Must own a vehicle and hold a valid Driver's License
- Must have 5 years of experience in industrial pipe fitting/welding
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Proficient in reading and understanding P&ID’s, ISO drawings
- Proficient in using all power tools used in the fabrication of piping systems
- Advanced knowledge in areas such as metallurgy, welding safety, and quality control
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with tools and equipment used in the fabrication and installation of pipe
- Able to work with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel pipe
- Ability to work in confined spaces if needed
- Ability to lift/hold 50lbs
- Ability to navigate frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders or scaffolding

Pay
Competitive salary
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 7AM – 3:30 pm or as otherwise scheduled. Overtime and weekend shifts available.
Work Environment
Must be able to lift/hold 50lbs. ability to work in confined spaces if needed. Navigating frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
