Founded in 1999, eTEC Mechanical is a full‑service mechanical contractor providing engineering, installation and maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems. We design, build, operate, and maintain mechanical systems for hospitals, data centers, manufacturers, financial institutions, universities, office buildings, and more. eTEC’s mission is to provide commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems for customers who need a single‑source mechanical contractor. Job Summary

Layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems, structural steel, pumps and equipment in the commercial and industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and weld techniques.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack‑weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 + years of practical welding experience.
• Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade and general construction environment.
• Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment.
• Certification at one or more levels is required.
• Physical ability to stand, balance, climb stairs and ladders, walk, and lift up to 50 lb.
