Welder - Overhead

Brief Description The Welder - Overhead position will: Perform a variety of duties associated with welding machine parts. Also required to perform other tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor. Duties And Responsibilities Obtain supplies, position work and follow verbal or written instructions Demonstrated ability to set-up, operate and maintain electrodes on an overhead welder Review quality of parts produced and note deviation from approved part Report deviation of parts produced to Supervisor Operate spot welders, grinders, sanders and other equipment used on the cabinet line Required to wear PPE Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given taskReports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to supervisorPerform other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this positionKeep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilitiesDesire to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethicFollow all company rules and policies Knowledge And Skills Adequate communication skills; verbal and written Ability to read and understand written instructions General The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for performing this job. Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physically able to do frequent bending, twisting, gripping, grasping and lifting Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
