Welder Operator
About the role
The purpose of this position is to weld to Steel Tech and IAS standards/procedures.
Responsibilities
- Weld material according to shop prints
- Use cranes to rotate beams
- Back-gouging
- Quality check finished work so that it meets job specifications, Steel Tech standards
- Track wins, issues/resolves, quantities
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop prints
- Skilled in operating tools, machinery, and welding equipment
- Skilled in keeping clean tools, equipment, and work areas
- Ability to understand IAS/AWS standards and procedures
- Ability to have focused intensity
- Ability to plan ahead
Qualifications
- Preferred: High school Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 year previous experience in a relevant field
