Responsibilities

• Weld service tees and tie‑ins on gas pipe.
• Tap pipe using Mueller fittings.
• Weld natural‑gas pipe up to 12" steel pipe.
• Work outdoors and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, standing, and walking for long periods.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
• Signal operators to facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Prepare pipe alignment on the worksite.
• Assemble and weld gas piping of various sizes.
• Communicate with and assist the site foreman as needed.
• Follow safety standards throughout the process, including digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, and coating joints.
• Travel within the state of Wisconsin as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pass the Wisconsin Utility Association (WUA) weld test.
• Experience tapping with Mueller fittings.
• Experience welding gas mains preferred.
• Education in gas & utilities construction preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing; Class A CDL preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lb regularly.
