Welder / Metal Fabricator - Projects

About the Role

We are seeking a Welder / Metal Fabricator for the P&K Stone Projects Team. This position involves blueprint reading, welding, fabricating, heavy equipment operation, mining equipment repair, and component installation. You will work as part of a team to complete special projects across various P&K Stone locations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Travel to these locations with a self-provided vehicle and tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Welding and fabrication of steel components such as conveyor legs, material chutes, and equipment support structures
• Operating equipment including all-terrain telehandlers and/or excavators
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Repairing and installing mining equipment and components
• Devising solutions to fabrication challenges for mining plant equipment
• Adhering to P&K Stone mine safety rules and practices
• Traveling to P&K Stone locations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with your own tools and vehicle

Requirements

• 1-2 years minimum of previous arc welding experience
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Self-provided tools, including basic hand tools, C-clamps, ½-ton – 1-ton come-along, drills, grinders, measures, leveling tools, and a minimum 260 arc welder
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions
• MSHA Part 46 training (preferred)
• Previous experience working within active mine sites (preferred)
• Experience operating an all-terrain telehandler (a plus)

Pay

$23.00 - $30.00 per hour, plus a paid truck allowance for providing your own vehicle and tools.

Schedule

• 10-hour shift, Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed
• Weekends as needed
