About the role
We are seeking a Metal Fabricator/Welder responsible for reading blueprints, welding, fabricating, operating heavy equipment, repairing mining equipment, and installing components. The role involves traveling to various locations with self-provided tools.
Responsibilities
- Welding and fabricating steel components like conveyor legs, chutes, and support structures
- Operating equipment such as telehandlers and excavators
- Collaborating effectively within a team and solving fabrication challenges
- Working outdoors and lifting 50-75 lbs
- Following safety protocols and traveling to designated locations
Requirements
- 1-2 years of arc welding experience
- Ability to work in active mine sites and possess MSHA Part 46 training (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent
- Self-provided tools, including basic hand tools, C-clamps, come-alongs, drills, grinders, measures, leveling tools, a minimum 260-amp arc welder, and plasma cutter
- Experience with all-terrain telehandlers (advantageous)
