Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Task and oversee hourly workers on daily assignments.
• Complete time entry of hourly workers daily.
• Monitor job activity of hourly workers, answering questions, giving guidance and resolving problems.
• Afford assistance to plan management in determining work procedures, equipment and supply needs and manpower requirements to complete assignments per production drawing.
• Select, supervise, instruct, and schedule employee’s work.
• Monitor work processes and products to ensure quality and cost containment standards are maintained.
• Ensure company equipment is properly handled, maintained, and secured.
• Ensure and monitor compliance of safety rules and regulations by all employees.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of plant operations with particular emphasis on welding techniques and equipment involved.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work objectives.
• Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material and manpower needs.
• Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group and to perform as a member of a management team.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Knowledge of State and Federal and regulations related to safety, health and environmental.
• Familiar with all company policies and procedures.

Required Experience & Training

• A High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in the position of Welder.
