Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Task and oversee hourly workers on daily assignments.
- Complete time entry of hourly workers daily.
- Monitor job activity of hourly workers, answering questions, giving guidance and resolving problems.
- Afford assistance to plan management in determining work procedures, equipment and supply needs and manpower requirements to complete assignments per production drawing.
- Select, supervise, instruct, and schedule employee’s work.
- Monitor work processes and products to ensure quality and cost containment standards are maintained.
- Ensure company equipment is properly handled, maintained, and secured.
- Ensure and monitor compliance of safety rules and regulations by all employees.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of plant operations with particular emphasis on welding techniques and equipment involved.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work objectives.
- Ability to effectively plan work procedures, equipment, material and manpower needs.
- Ability to effectively build and lead a productive work group and to perform as a member of a management team.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Knowledge of State and Federal and regulations related to safety, health and environmental.
- Familiar with all company policies and procedures.
Required Experience & Training
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in the position of Welder.
