About the role

AMECO, a North American leader in Construction Site Services, Product Distribution, and Equipment Rental, is seeking a Welder for their Harrison, OH facility.

Responsibilities

• Welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers.
• Compliance with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensures work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures.
• Upholds AMECO’s productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Necessary overtime as the workload dictates.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Qualified candidates must have AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G CERTS), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G CERTS) processes.
• Skills in brake, shear, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
• Shop environment utilizing SMAW, GMAW and FCAW processes.
• Heavy fabrication and repair experience is preferred.
• Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little direction.
• Reliable/dependable (prompt, with good attendance).
• Able to multi-task and change direction or focus as priorities dictate.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy fabrication and repair.
