About the role

The work is on-site (5 days).

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and grinding operations on assemblies using wire feed arc welding machines

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of the GMAW 1 welding course through Central Community College
  • Certifications: Forklift (if applicable), Aluminum, Steel
  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department
  • Must successfully complete a welding demonstration
  • Internal bidders must complete the GMAW 1 welding course through CCC before being considered for the position, unless they currently possess the necessary welding certifications for the position
  • External hires must initiate the Thermo King Certification process within the first 30 days of hire

  • Introductory Level: Primary focus is learning the process
  • Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)

  • Rejected and/or missing welds

Pay

Hourly base pay: $23.70

Compensation is hourly and not incentive or sales commission eligible.

Note: Actual compensation will depend on elements such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. The compensation range is generally based on the national average for the country.
