Welder - Generator & Enclosure Welder

Position Summary

Technibus is seeking experienced and motivated Generator Welders and Enclosure Welders to join our growing manufacturing team in Canton, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling generator enclosures and structural components used in power generation systems for mission‑critical data centers. The ideal candidate has experience with structural welding, blueprint reading, fitting and welding, and working with a variety of materials including sheet metal and galvanized steel. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high‑quality work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel, generator frames, and enclosure components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
• Fit, align, and weld components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Measure, mark, and verify materials using a tape measure and other precision measuring tools.
• Fabricate and assemble components using sheet metal and galvanized steel.
• Install and work with insulation materials as part of the enclosure assembly process.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with structural welding and MIG welding.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Ability to work with sheet metal and galvanized steel.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to changes in daily activities.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime/weekends as needed.
• Pass a background check, drug/alcohol screening, and maintain a clean driving record.
