Job Role
The Welder Foreman oversees a team of welders in fabricating structural aspects of refrigeration systems. This leadership role involves ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The role includes hands-on welding and operation of industrial equipment. Reports to Manufacturing Leadership.

Key Duties
- Work closely with manufacturing leadership to ensure project completion, quality control, safety, and efficiency
- Weld structural components such as skid frames, penthouse frames, dispersion tanks, condenser platforms, and pipe stands
- Weld additional structural components related to compressors, vessels, evaporators, oil separators, and other prefabricated assemblies
- Manage and lead a team of welders to complete assigned fabrication and welding tasks
- Perform load rigging, torch cutting, and leveling with measurement tools
- Operate grinders and wire wheels
- Absorb other shop duties as needed, including insulation, electrical, and painting tasks
Requirements
- 5+ years of structural welding experience
- 2–5+ years of management or team leadership experience
- Ability to pass a 3G Stick Weld test (¼” plate, 37.5° bevel, open root, uphill progression) and Stainless Steel plate test
- Ability to climb 40-foot extension ladders and work at heights in safety harnesses
- Safe operation of scissor lifts, forklifts, boom lifts, lulls, and other industrial equipment
- Must be able to work in varying shop temperatures while wearing required PPE
- Familiarity with rigging, torch cutting, grinding, leveling, and use of measurement tools
- Must pass pre-employment and regular drug screenings (safety-sensitive role)
- Background check required
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
- Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools accurately and safely.
