About the role

This Welder position is responsible for joining, fabricating and repairing metal components using various welding techniques and equipment, while upholding safety standards, quality control, and project deadlines in both team and independent settings.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include fabricating and installing complex custom production machinery based on blueprints, samples, or verbal instructions, performing MIG, TIG, and stick welding with proficiency, and ensuring compliance with all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards
  • Support operational efficiency by working on assigned projects and assisting with training as needed

Job duties include reading and interpreting blueprints, creating jigs and fixtures for weldments, maintaining and repairing equipment per the Preventative Maintenance Program, and operating welding equipment and tools such as MIG, TIG, stick welders, plasma torch, and cutting torches.

  • Use metalworking machines including lathe, mill, and bandsaw
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes safely
  • Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and repetitive movements for extended periods

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 3+ years of related experience preferred in fabrication, mechanical, and electrical repair.

  • MIG, TIG, and stick welding with the ability to pass a weld test on each; certification preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to read pressure gauges, blueprints, and precision instruments
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls
  • Forklift certification and ability to use various shop tools and measuring devices
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and adapt to cross-training opportunities
  • Preferred proficiency in English (read, write, speak)
