Welder/Fabricator-2nd shift

WELDER / FABRICATOR — SECOND SHIFT DHT Group | Reese, Michigan DHT Group is looking for an experienced Second Shift Welder / Fabricator to join our team at our Reese, Michigan location. We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a fabrication shop — someone who can take a project from measurements and layout through fit-up, welding and final inspection. What You’ll Do Perform welding and metal fabrication for a variety of shop projects, repairs and componentsMeasure, lay out, cut, fit, tack, weld and finish fabricated partsRead and work from prints, drawings, measurements and specificationsUse grinders, saws, cutting equipment and other common fabrication toolsInspect completed work for proper fit, dimensions and weld qualityAssist with fabrication, modification and repair projects throughout the operationMaintain a clean, organized and safe work areaWork with shop personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently What We’re Looking For Previous welding and/or metal fabrication experienceStrong fabrication, layout and fit-up skillsAbility to accurately use tape measures, squares and other measuring toolsAbility to read and interpret prints or fabrication drawingsMechanical aptitude and solid problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and pride in quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safe work practices Experience with multiple welding processes and fabrication equipment is a plus.
