Welder (entry level)

About the role

Fabrication of steel molds for concrete, including use of hand and power tools, various cutting equipment, and welding parts together per specifications. This is a union role.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of steel molds
• Use hand and power tools, lifting equipment, plasma cutter, vertical band saw, drill press, grinders, etc.
• Weld parts together per specifications
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements

• Must have experience in steel fabrication, at least 1 year is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform basic mathematics
• Ability to read fractions, tape measures, and shop prints
• Understanding of basic hand and power tools and their use
• Capable of welding both horizontal and vertical, with ability to pass certification

Pay

The hourly pay rate is $27.63/hr.
