Welder-Day Shift
About the role
Job Type: Full Time, Onsite
Schedule: Day Shift, Typically 4:30am to 1:00pm Mon. to Fri.
Wage: $20.60 to $32.25, DOE
WELD TEST WILL BE REQUIRED, BRING YOUR WELDING HOOD @ INTERVIEW
Responsibilities
- Review blue prints and job specifications with supervisor.
- Learn to set-up welder current, amperage, and gas flows to the prescribed settings for material being welded.
- Develop skills required to set up parts that are tacked or fixtured for welding.
- Weld components together meeting AWS D1.1 standards or greater.
- Check dimensions and tolerances after welding and cooling.
- Use industries standard methods to straighten, ream, and debur as required.
- Provide technical direction and support to welder trainees.
- Participate in insuring a safe work environment through best practices including promoting of all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, maintenance of a 5S work station.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be reliable, on time and ready to work daily.
- Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and welding, engineering and material specifications.
- Must be proficient in MIG, FCAW and tack welding, and standard metal working tools.
- Must have solid math, dimensional and reading skills, and also be able to use a tape measure.
- Minimum 2 years experience preferred.
