Welder- Day & Night Shift

Welders are the primary constructors of vessels at Feldmeier Equipment. The Welder position involves varied work, including tasks beyond welding as workload demands.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Feldmeier safety and Company policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
• TIG weld, spot weld, and MIG weld stainless steel.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Layout component locations per instructions.
• Prepare work surfaces via cutting and finishing.
• Weld small and large components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions using appropriate techniques.
• Set up and operate equipment for assigned jobs.
• Complete housekeeping duties in assigned areas or as requested by management.
• Complete all required paperwork and log time into the MES system.

Requirements

• Boces welding certificate or 6 months of welding experience.
• Previous fabricating experience.
• Ability to read measuring tapes and operate tools such as grinders and welding torches.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of TIG experience.
• Experience welding with different alloys.
• Proficiency in welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and maneuvering up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and platforms for elevated work.
• Walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, balancing, stooping, lying down inside or under vessels, and twisting while performing tasks.
• Comfortable in chemically hazardous situations; must use proper PPE when required.
• Ability to hold a 4-8lb grinder for prolonged periods while applying force.
• Ability to grasp a welding torch for brief to long periods while welding parts.

Pay

$22.00–$31.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:15 PM.
• Night Shift: 3:30 PM–2:00 AM.
