WELDER

About the Role

This position involves fabricating and assembling metal structures and products, with a primary focus on Overhead Bridge Cranes. The role requires interpreting job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints to develop layouts and plan sequences of operations.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and products using welders, cutters, and shapers (Flux Core: flat, vertical, and overhead).
• Develop layouts and plan sequences of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as welders, punches, flame cutters, and drill presses.
• Design and construct templates and fixtures.
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications.
• Work in confined spaces and perform tasks requiring standing, stooping, bending, climbing, crawling, and working at odd angles for long periods.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Train backup personnel to support your role in your absence.
• Continuously improve through education, professional training, and certification.
• Represent the company professionally, communicate with honesty and transparency, and act with integrity.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certified Welder (Flux Core: flat, vertical, and overhead).
• Proficient with Trimble Survey Equipment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and various 3D software.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Team player and self-motivated.
• Periodic travel required.
• Legally able to work in the U.S.
• Valid Driver’s License.
