About the Role
This position involves fabricating and assembling metal structures and products, with a primary focus on Overhead Bridge Cranes. The role requires interpreting job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints to develop layouts and plan sequences of operations.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and products using welders, cutters, and shapers (Flux Core: flat, vertical, and overhead).
- Develop layouts and plan sequences of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as welders, punches, flame cutters, and drill presses.
- Design and construct templates and fixtures.
- Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications.
- Work in confined spaces and perform tasks requiring standing, stooping, bending, climbing, crawling, and working at odd angles for long periods.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Train backup personnel to support your role in your absence.
- Continuously improve through education, professional training, and certification.
- Represent the company professionally, communicate with honesty and transparency, and act with integrity.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Certified Welder (Flux Core: flat, vertical, and overhead).
- Proficient with Trimble Survey Equipment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and various 3D software.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Team player and self-motivated.
- Periodic travel required.
- Legally able to work in the U.S.
- Valid Driver’s License.
