Welder

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently use welding and shop equipment such as power supplies, wire feeders, welding helmet, welding guns, measuring tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
• Load and position parts to fixtures to achieve correct dimensions.
• Adjust weld equipment settings for proper weld quality.
• Maintain safety standards and operate safety equipment.
• Fluent in reading prints and other instructions.
• Weld parts per print to meet customer and quality requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance as required and inform supervisor of possible problems that may need to be addressed.
• Complete work order, quality date and clerical functions as required.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe workstation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in welding or similar field.
• Experience with various types of welding equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Skills

• Proficient in using welding equipment and tools.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
