POSITION SUMMARY
DUTIES AND RESPONSILITIES
- Identify part geometry and establish required welds at location surfaces per print.
- Identify any work holding needs.
- Follow prescribed quality procedures to ensure part conformity.
- Monitor weld gas supply and filler rod inventory.
- Work with purchasing to assure adequate levels of materials.
- Follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Maintain workplace organization, including fixture locations.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous TIG welding experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauge, and optical comparator with digital readout.
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS (not Necessary But Preferred)
- Understanding and application of GD&T.
- Understanding and application of Laser Welding and Micro-Tig Welding.
Physical Demands And Work Conditions
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours per day.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Eyesight and hearing must be correctable to a standard level.
