About the role

The driving force behind MUELLER’s success is our people. This position is an integral part of ensuring that our products meet the highest standards and maintain customer satisfaction. The position will be doing manual welding in a plant environment on similar or same products. This is a production welding position that must be able to both Mig and Tig weld. The job requires someone to perform repetitive welding assignments in a production metric driven environment. Must be able to work with team members to ensure a high-quality product for our customers.

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoot problems with welding equipment.
  • Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Assembly related duties may be necessary as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to perform Mig and Tig welding.
  • Safety for self and others is a priority to the individual.
  • Be familiar with basic tools of measuring and when to use for inspection of parts.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Bending, lifting, and pushing up to 50 pounds is required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of welding principals.
  • Experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing type environment.
  • Professional Welding Certification is a plus.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to sit and stand in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk around in an industrial plant safety sensitive environment on an ongoing daily basis.
  • Must have good manual dexterity (use of hands and fingers) to use a computer, copier, fax, phone, and multiple pieces of industrial equipment.
  • Occasionally ascend or descend stairs.
