Welder

About the role

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently repairing and maintaining plant industrial equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Inspects machinery and equipment to identify any hazards or issues requiring welding services
• Determines the reasons for any malfunctions of metal components, and creates a welding maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem
• Repairs machinery and equipment so that they remain at full functioning capacity with a moderate degree of supervision
• Reviews blueprints to understand the placement of equipment and machinery to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs
• Keeps records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used
• Ensures all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs
• Participates in equipment maintenance, moves, and installation projects as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Vocational training or equivalent experience
• Minimum Experience: 1+ year related experience
