About the role
Safely perform welding, weld components with welding equipment to fit and join, fabricate and/or repair heavy and large mechanical products per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule.
Schedule
2nd Shift – Monday-Thursday, 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM (includes 15% shift differential).
Responsibilities
- Perform weld duties, welding components as specified by procedures, layout, blueprint, diagrams, work order, and oral instruction.
- Acquire or maintain the “basic” Weld Certification as the minimum requirement for all weld positions.
- Execute welds ranging from simple tacks to complex welds in varying positions.
- Set up, lay out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and/or equipment products.
- Operate and/or use related equipment and tools, including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, torches, drills, punches, tape measures, and Air Arc.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.
- Work from assembly prints and specifications, performing set-ups as required.
- Maintain work performance in accordance with Manitou standards and job specifications.
- Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Stand on concrete for a minimum of 8 hours up to 10 hours per day.
- Demonstrate willingness to train or work during hours outside of the scheduled shift.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Requirements
- Repetitive tasks with attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods.
- Use of tools, safety shoes (metatarsal), safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and other PPE as needed.
Pay
Base pay range starting at $25.00 per hour (plus 15% shift differential for 2nd Shift), with potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications, and work location.

This position is located onsite in Yankton, South Dakota. No travel is required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
