Position Description

  • Tasks:
    • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment.
    • Operate and maintain welding equipment.
    • Read and interpret diagrams, sketches and blueprints.
    • Repair and maintain metal equipment and structures.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Understand and implement personal and company safety measures.
    • Communicate with team members and customers.
    • Maintain and operate machines that repair metal structures, equipment, and machinery.
    • Work in a factory floor environment.

About the Role

The position involves working in a factory floor environment where the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level can be loud and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly talk or hear.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Lift items up to 50 pounds.

Job Specification

  • Education: Mandatory High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus).
  • Technical training: Reading Blueprints.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in TIG & MIG welding and minimum 1 years of experience reading blueprints.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Willingness to learn, verbal and written communication skills, highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks, independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues, strong team player, work ethic and commitment to win, customer-focused.
