Job Responsibilities
- Welding
- Perform MIG welding applications for mild steel and galvanized steel in accordance with project specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and structural integrity requirements.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded surfaces and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Metal Fabrication
- Utilize metal fabrication tools such as metal cutting saws, grinders, and drills to fabricate and modify metal components.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal pieces according to project requirements.
- Measure and align workpieces using precision instruments.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize fabrication processes and techniques.
- Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and facilities.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance activities.
- Forklift Operation
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and equipment within the facility.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and heavy loads.
- 1-2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG welding applications for mild steel and galvanized steel.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication tools including hammers, grinders, and drills.
- Experience operating forklifts and familiarity with forklift safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a vocational or technical training program in welding is preferred.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing or industrial environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including welding helmets.
