Position Summary

The Welder must be able to use welding equipment and instruments while staying within specified tolerances. The role requires maintaining production rates and manufacturing to prints.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret manufacturing prints to determine correct fit and tolerances.
• Understand welding machine operation and fitter/welding burning equipment.
• Perform all functions associated with welding preparation and welding.
• Conduct appropriate quality checks of equipment.
• Determine correct machine settings and tolerances.
• Monitor work environment for hazards and maintain healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in TIG and general fabrication skills required.

Qualifications

• Basic skill set to operate all welding tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work independently in a production‑oriented environment.
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Ability Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
• Ability to be mobile throughout the facility to communicate with other departments.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone for extended periods.
