About the role

Laser North, a laser cutting and fabrication specialist, is hiring Welders to join their team in Baraga, Michigan. As a Welder, you’ll play a vital role in fitting and welding components to create top-quality products efficiently, while upholding the highest standards of safety and excellence in their field.

Shifts Available

- Day shift: Monday – Thursday 5am – 2:30pm; Friday 5am – 9am. - Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday 2:30pm – 12:30am.

What You Will Do

- Maintain effective welding operations to meet customer demands and provide on-time delivery. - Fabricate complex weldments per customer requirements and specifications. - Take ownership of organizing and cleaning specified work areas in the welding department. - Take the initiative to help other production areas as needed. - Communicate with the Leadership Team when necessary.

What We Are Looking For

- Self-motivation and an excellent work ethic are required. - 1 or more years of professional welding experience preferred. - Possess a welding certification, or the ability to become AWS certified. - You should be able to read and understand welding blueprints. - Experience utilizing precise measuring equipment. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential. - Ability to balance a sense of urgency while maintaining the highest level of safety, quality, and efficiency. - Adhere to business rules, safe work practices, and proper lifting techniques is required.
