About the role

K&M Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Welder to join our dynamic team. Founded in 1958, we are dedicated to providing innovative solutions for the agricultural industry.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality products using wire feed welding and other intermediate welding techniques.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
• Set up and operate various welding equipment.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Adhere to company and department safety and work practice policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Accurately record material and job order transactions as directed.
• Keep supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management.
• Attend training as directed as apparent or assigned.
• Perform all other duties as apparent or assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• 1-3 years of welding experience or combination of vocational certification and equivalent experience.
• Pass a Welding test.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Requires ability to respond quickly to priority changes and work well under pressure due to scheduling constraints, and perform quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate with other personnel in English.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.
• Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required.
• Ability to perform Machine Operator duties when required.
