Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Load fixtures and weld parts as required.
• Safely use all tools necessary for the position.
• Maintain inventory accuracy at all times.
• Read blueprints and utilize AWS weld symbols as required for the position.
• Consistently achieve quality welds while staying on production schedule.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required.
• Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and recognize AWS weld symbols.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and welding equipment.
• Capable of embracing a culture of Lean Manufacturing and willing to accept/implement change.
• Able to follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder to join their team at their Abilene West facility in Abilene, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.
