About the role

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a 1st Shift Welder to join our growing team at our Construction Equipment (CE) facility in Salina, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.

Our new Construction Equipment Division adds Kubota-branded skid steers, compact track loaders, and CE attachments, supported by Kubota Construction R&D Engineering in Salina. Responsibilities

• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Operation of various welding robots.
• Able to lift heavy parts throughout the shift.
• Clean, repair and examine welds as needed.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the shift.
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

• Availability to work overtime
• Working knowledge of MIG welding operations and ability to pass weld test as required
• Open to Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.
