About the role
The Welder's primary responsibility is the welding of all components to manufacture heavy hydraulic attachments. This position is based onsite at our Two Harbors, MN facility. The job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Perform GMAW/MIG/Wire feed welding to AWS D1.1. standards
- Perform standard work and tasks common in a production welding environment following LaBounty procedures, quality and safety policies
- Layout, fit-up, measure and tack weldments
- Arc air welding (experience beneficial, will train)
- Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and adhere to all safety programs and policies
- Must be able to communicate fully with supervisor(s) and coworker(s)
- Assist in documenting standard work procedures and provided feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the quality of manufacturing processes
- Closeout shop orders and follow production schedule to facilitate timely part delivery/availability
- Maintain safe and organized work area including end of shift clean up in accordance with 5S standards
- Perform autonomous maintenance, for daily equipment functionality
Requirements
This is a Safety-sensitive position. The salary for this position is between $22.00 and $29.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of basic weld symbols on blueprints
- Basic computer skills, MS-Office: MS Windows – Excel, Word & Outlook
- Comfortable and knowledgeable use of standard repair and hand tools
Skills and Abilities
- Able to use a tape measure, level, angle finders and squares
- Able to understand and follow written and oral procedures and directions
- Able to handle all materials safely using a Jib hoist, overhead crane, and forklifts, including lifting devices (chains, straps, slings)
- An eye for details and precision
- Able to operate all welding equipment if assigned
- Continuous standing and walking
- Intermittent bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, climbing, lifting/lowering
- Intermittent use of hand/wrist
- Able to safely handle materials using cranes, hoists, forklifts, chains, and slings is required

Pay
The salary for this position is between $22.00 and $29.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
