What You’ll Do

• Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated steel frames and metal parts according to blueprints
• Measure, mark, and position components using tape measure, square, clamps, and other hand tools
• Weld in vertical, flat, horizontal, and overhead positions
• Use torch, plasma cutter, and grinders for prep and finishing
• Inspect welds and components to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Weld out components previously tack-welded by senior welders
• Grind, sand, and finish metal parts as needed
• Operate material-handling equipment including overhead cranes/hoists
• Move, stage, and properly store materials and finished product
• Wear required PPE including welding helmet, gloves, leather gear, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and respirator when needed
• Perform MIG welding and occasional TIG welding
• Support additional production tasks as assigned
