Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Read a blueprint and build trailers according to the blueprint
- Proficiently use all tools related to the welding process including - but not limited to - a jig, a square and a tape measure
- Maintain a safe and orderly weld bay
- Build a minimum number of trailers per day according to the company standard
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will be able to proficiently perform each of the duties listed above
- Language Skills - The ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints. The ability to understand instructions in English or Spanish is helpful
- Physical Demands - The physical demands for this position include, but are not limited to: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Work Environment - The work environment characteristics could be, but are not limited to: The employee will be standing for most of the workday. Temperature will vary with the outside temperature The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud
- Education And/or Experience - Welding experience is preferred but not required
