About the Role

This position is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high-quality parts, subassemblies, and finished products. Weldments vary in type, size, and direction and are performed on a variety of production lines.

Responsibilities

• Adjust welding machine settings to proper weld configurations.
• Use tools such as grinders, needle guns, and wire wheels to ensure cleanliness of finished welds.
• Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipment.
• Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Accurately operate and read measuring devices.
• Assemble and weld various metal parts together.
• Properly position material/parts to be welded.
• Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions, including the ability to read blueprints.
• Adhere to quality standards with attention to detail.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards.
• Work in both team and individual settings.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Perform all other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test and recertify skills as required by program guidelines.
• Must have completed a weld class/curriculum.
