What You’ll Do
- Report to work ready to perform assigned tasks by using established safe work practices and by wearing any prescribed personal protective equipment.
- Use the proper tools and equipment for each task and use them correctly.
- If knowledge or proficiency with the operation or equipment is questionable, ask before it is used.
- Report all unsafe behaviors and/or conditions, near misses, incidents and injuries to your supervisor immediately.
- Take immediate action as appropriate if you observe something that could cause injury to a fellow worker.
Who You Are
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to effectively use MIG, TIG, and Arc welders, as well as the Arc equipment.
- Proficient with metal shear, lathe, iron worker and welding certifications a plus.
- Able to use & read a tape measure accurately.
- Have prior experience operating basic hand and power tools.
- Reliable and consistently show up to work on time.
- Able and willing to do physically demanding work.
- Must be able to be on their feet all day working on projects.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 1 year of welding experience or recent graduation from a technical school.
- Positive attitude
- Prior Welding experience
- Able to read blueprints
- MIG Certification
- Forklift Operating experience
- Familiar with Lean construction or manufacturing processes
What We Offer
- The hourly pay for this role is between $20.00 - $24.00.
- The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions.
- The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
- The role may also be eligible for a bonus.
- This is a union position and provides union benefits.
