Welder - 1st Shift

About the role

LaForce is seeking a skilled Welder to join the Metal Frame Production team. The ideal candidate will fabricate and assemble hollow metal door frames using MIG welding and various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Weld, fit, and assemble light-gauge sheet metal frames based on shop drawings and work orders.
• Grind and prep welds to meet quality and finish standards.
• Use MIG welding equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools.
• Move materials using forklifts and carts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in MIG welding (GMAW) and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production instructions.
• Comfortable with hand tools and material handling.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification (training provided).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the day.
• Able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working with tools and equipment on your feet all day.

Pay

$20/hr. and up based on experience.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 3:00pm; Friday, 6:30am - 12:30pm
