Welder - 1st and 2nd Shift

About The Role

As a Welder at Super Steel, you'll perform high-quality welds on a variety of projects requiring accuracy, repeatability, and attention to detail. You'll work with a supportive team in a clean, safety-focused environment with opportunities to grow your skills.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG Welding: Perform high-quality MIG welds on heavy carbon steel frames and structures.
• Part Fit-Up: Fit up your own parts and assemblies accurately according to blueprint specifications prior to welding
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with industry and ISO standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding tools and equipment; perform minor repairs and setups as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet daily manufacturing production goals.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Repair Support: Perform occasional TIG welding for minor equipment or weldment repairs as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; welding apprenticeship preferred
• Proven welding experience with a strong portfolio
• Welding certifications (AWS, ASME) a plus
• Familiarity with welding tools, machinery, and safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions
