A Day In The Life
- Responsible for welding steel and aluminum components to assemble structural forms
- Layout, align, fit and weld fabricated steel and aluminum components
- Read and understand blueprints
- Show strong attention to detail regarding alignment, dimensions, and general inspection
- Perform work involving close tolerances that require constant attention while making adjustments to perform properly
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Knowledge and technique of MIG welding
- Aluminum welding experience
- Must have the ability to read a tape measure
- Regularly move, twist, bend, and crouch while working
- Dependable with a good attendance record
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and weld assemblies to comply with the engineering standards
- Experience with a handheld plasma cutter is a plus
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent required with Vocational Training and/or Technical Education preferred
