What You’ll Do

• Follow all Spacesaver safety policies and procedures.
• Learn and perform start up and shut down procedures, ergonomic practices, E-stops, Lock Out Tagout procedures.
• Understand pinch points and adjust light curtain.
• Perform Standard Work by following Work/Operator Instructions/Training Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain department’s production efficiency goals.
• Practice 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
• Perform required preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
• Complete quality inspections using precision measuring devices.
• Perform problem solving and containment.
• Perform in-process documentation and non-conforming material process.
• Complete all required record documentation.
• Support and participate in assignments in other work areas, as work load demands change.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Use Spacesaver’s ERP system to join and leave a work center as a team member or operator, start/stop shop orders, and report quantities of acceptable and scrap product.
• Adhere to scheduled work hours and be available to work overtime as needed.
• Always Behave in a safe manner.

What We’re Looking For

• A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, and 3-5 years of experience or a technical degree and 1 year of experience.
• Achievement of a passing score on required assessments.
• Complete all assigned developmental training plans, classes, and certifications.
• Solid PC familiarity, navigation, scanning, and data entry.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos in the English language.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other team members.
• Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
• Good time management skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be attentive to detail.
