This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.
Responsibilities
- Maintains an overview of production processes and facilities and works with Management and Production personnel to develop and implement improvements for optimal results
- Creates new production processes/procedures to better aid in the completion of composite tooling and/or resolve any problems that may have occurred during production
- As Research and Design develops new technology, reissues and/or reconstructs production processes to implement new technology
- Plans and coordinates manufacturing processes on the Production Floor
- Reviews project instructions and blueprints to obtain test specifications, procedures, objectives, and test equipment to gather data for development, standardization, and quality control
- Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method
- Works with Project Managers to identify and mitigate risk in the production process
- Develops detailed Production Build Plan packages based upon customer process specifications and engineering drawings
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts
- Files, retrieves, and maintains engineering drawings, records, revisions, and updates as needed
- Drafts detail drawings or sketches to convey technical information
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions
- Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, equipment, and workspace requirements for maximum efficiency
- Provides direction to new Engineers on the Production Floor
- Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required); Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed
- Agreement to enter a Continuous Evaluation program for Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements
Qualifications
- B.S. in Welding or Welding Technology required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a weld engineering role
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and CAD/CAM systems
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP software
- High level of proficiency in manual machining processes including drilling, reaming, tapping, boring, and finishing
- Working knowledge of common metallurgical processes used in general fabrication
- CWI or NDI Level 1 preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Pay
Salary range for this role is between $83,000 - $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, and additional pay for off-shifts. The range reflects Janicki’s estimate of base compensation; actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
