Weld Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Welding Engineer to lead and support welding processes within a manufacturing environment. This full-time role reports to the Weld Engineering Manager and is based at an engineering facility, supporting a collaborative environment with growth and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new welding technologies and methods
• Specify equipment, consumables, and robotic systems
• Support quality assurance and resolve welding issues
• Assist in equipment integration, start-up, and debugging
• Train, coach, and mentor weld engineers and trades
• Participate in root cause analysis and process improvements
• Support new model launches and supplier tool tryouts
• Champion engineering changes and cross-functional reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of related experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems (MQ1, QAD)
• Strong mechanical skills with MIG and spot welding expertise
• High cooperation, commitment, problem-solving skills, and adaptability
