Weld Coordinator

About the role

This is a production role located in Brazil, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Moving raw material and parts to and from welders, leak check technicians, braiders, and wrappers
• Having at least one job prepared for each welder to start when finished with the current job
• Determining proper sequence of assembly / welding for each IO with welders
• Identifying potential problems and errors with BOMs or IOs, and communicating with Zone Leader or Production Supervisor to ensure prompt resolution
• Contacting Zone Leader for rework instruction as necessary
• Feeding inners into outers
• Feeding outers into spiral wrap after leak check and stretch
• Preparing the next job to be welded while a welder is occupied
• Keeping welders properly stocked with all needed supplies
• Hand wrapping any areas required during final weld
• Inspecting all products per Finished Goods Inspection Procedure specified on drawing
• Maintaining cell dashboard
• Moving finished products to the proper area for the next operation
• Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor or Zone Leader

Qualifications

• A strong attention to detail
• The ability to follow written procedures
• The ability to conform to all established safety practices
• The ability to lift 50 lbs
• The ability to lift, bend, twist, and stoop
• A high school diploma (or equivalent) preferred
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
