About the role

Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district state and federal requirements guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans based on district curriculum and state standards.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance educational programs.
• Engage in professional development activities to improve teaching skills.
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including English language learners.

Requirements

• Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
• Knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff.
• Pass required background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
• Must possess knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
• Must be eligible to obtain the Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement if teaching retained grade 3 students.
• Upload proof of meeting the Early Literacy Endorsement requirement as an attachment to your application.
