About the Role

Martin Marietta is seeking a Scale Clerk to join our team at the Bowling Green South location. This role focuses on customer order fulfillment, involving interactions with customers, trucking vendors, and remotely weighing and ticketing customer trucks in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Issue weight and product tickets at the scale house.
• Work with trucking vendors to schedule and direct trucks.
• Communicate with truck drivers to determine destination and material transported.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy of tickets and delivery orders.
• Professionally accept incoming orders via telephone, email, and other means, and process them accurately using internal systems.
• Research problem tickets and document findings.
• Provide high-level customer service aligned with company values.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily (90% of the time) in an office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, Salesforce, and JD Edwards is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects/tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

This is a full-time position that may require long hours and weekend work. The role includes seasonal layoffs as part of annual scheduling.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• 1+ year of related experience.
