About the role
Live Long Well Care of Pawley's Island is seeking part-time and full-time caregivers to assist seniors with daily activities and provide companionship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Mobility assistance using transfer aids
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Transfers and positioning
- Pet services (grooming, feeding, walking)
- Provides companionship and engages in daily activities
- Represents the company positively
- Ensures a safe and orderly environment
- Documents services accurately and promptly
- Reports changes in client needs and incidents
- Communicates sensitively and timely with clients
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Up-to-date smartphone for time and attendance tracking
- Two years' experience in a similar position preferred
- Two years' experience with the elderly preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Professional conduct and confidentiality
- Pass competency testing on hire and ongoing
- Current listing with no substantial findings on state Aide Registry
- Physical ability to perform job-related duties
- Ability to work in time-sensitive or stressful situations
- Ability to lift, stand, bend, transfer, stoop, stretch, walk, push, pull, and assist with non-personal activities of daily living
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completed a training program if required by state regulation or contract
- Ability to work with minimal or close supervision
- Passes competency testing on hire and ongoing
- License must be valid (no expired licenses), and no suspended or revoked licenses in the last 3 years
- No at-fault accidents within 3 years, and no more than two suspensions in the last 3 years
- No DUI, DWI, speeding in excess of 25 mph, reckless or careless driving, vehicular homicide, manslaughter, or similar violations within the last 5 years
