About the role

Café Attendant is responsible for both front-of-house and back-of-house execution of service.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee opening, operating, and closing procedures for both front and back of house; schedule to reflect which station you’ll be assigned for the day.
  • Greet guests and offer stellar service for the rotating, seasonal menu.
  • Maintain The Grazing Table to ensure freshness, cleanliness, and proper food rotation.
  • Breakdown and proper food storage at the end of the shift.
  • Execute both kitchen and front-of-house food prep.
  • Ensure the safe service of alcohol according to TIP’s Certification guidelines.
  • Monitor that no ceramic or glass leaves the food area of the spa.
  • Execute high-level coffee service including cappuccino and espresso drinks.
  • Accurate settlement of guest bills in accordance with hotel and/or restaurant policy and reconcile through Mind/Body Software.
  • Manage cash drawer throughout the shift and during opening/closing procedures, as necessary.
  • Clean and sanitize thoroughly daily: dishes, dish station, guest spaces, and all service areas.
  • Remove trash and recycling daily.
  • Understand WELL Certification and basic nutrition.
  • Report any issues in a timely manner to manager.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant experience.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively under fast-paced working conditions.
  • Ability to maintain neat, professional, and clean appearance and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and general computer literacy.
  • Must demonstrate a professional demeanor and possess interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility with hourly schedules, including weekend, holiday, and evening availabilities.

Pay

$16–$18 hourly.
