Weekend Shift Warehouse Technician (Forklift Driver)

Full-time hourly position in the warehouse department reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

About the role

Provides support to the warehouse by ensuring the warehouse is organized and stocked. The technician prepares, receives, and ships warehouse deliveries and is trained to operate a forklift, pallet jack, powered pallet jack, and scissor-lift.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing finished goods, materials, and ingredients
  • Unloading and loading trucks using all appropriate paperwork (cab sheets, in/out form, etc.)
  • Inventory management and maintaining inventory accuracy through review of all transactions
  • Maintain inventory levels and movements to and from off-site facilities
  • Keep the PCE stocked with packaging to avoid production outages and shutdowns
  • Return unused packaging back to the warehouse, validating packaging quantities prior to put away
  • Perform physical inventory counts weekly and full warehouse counts monthly
  • Locate finished goods produced by the PCE in the warehouse
  • Operate a fork truck and drive the TPT box truck

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (10-50 lbs regularly, occasionally over 100 lbs)
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be required
  • Adherence to TPT Core Values and all policies and procedures
  • Responsible for food safety, including food defense
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task and work with little or no supervision
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to develop and adhere to a schedule
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
  • Forklift experience (1 year preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs
  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 lbs
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Required to interact with multiple food sources, including soy and peanut
