Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the warehouse.
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, and office areas regularly.
• Wipe down surfaces and equipment to maintain a dust-free environment.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables according to local protocols and expectations.
• Maintain waste bins and recycling receptacles, ensuring timely removal and replacement.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance requests to leadership.
• Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies.
• Organize and store cleaning equipment and materials in designated areas.
• Absorb and assist with setup and cleanup for warehouse events or meetings.
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals.
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies.
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
• Education: No degree required. Relevant skills and experience valued above all else.

  • Able and willing to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.

  • Work a full shift which could range from 8-10 hours.
  • Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policy.
  • Complete and pass all equipment training.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office - primarily Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Business proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Wage

Starting Wage is $25.00/hr, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.

Work Hours

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
• Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
